Round 1: Global RallyCross Qualifying Results from Charlotte Motor Speedway

Global RallyCross Will Be Televised at 8pm EST on ESPN2 after the NASCAR Nationwide Race

After an evening of qualifying, the teams are ready to take on the Beast of the East, Charlotte Motor Speedway, tonight. There weren’t any real surprises with Ford Racing dominating the top five positions.  World Rally Champion Marcus Gronholm posted the fastest time.

At this time, it is unclear exactly what the jump will look like tonight under the lights…or not.  After a heavy landing by Rhys Millen in the RMR Hyundai NASCAR officials feared that there would be significant track damage if the racers continued in this manner.  From what we understand Global RallyCross is currently weighing their options…we will continue to update you as things develop here an on Twitter: @rallyworldnews
